Complete your Senior Experience at Central Library Youth Services and gain
hands-on experience in a real-world library setting while supporting youth
programs and summer reading.
Participants will assist library staff with a variety of Youth Services tasks, which may include: Assisting with preschool storytime and youth programs Preparing craft materials and program supplies Helping organize summer reading materials and prizes Supporting summer reading sign-ups for children and families Assisting with elementary school visits and read-alouds Tidying and organizing materials in the Youth Services area Qualifications APS high school senior eligible to participate in Senior Experience Reliable and dependable Able to follow directions and work independently on assigned tasks Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable assisting with a variety of short-term projects with guidance Able to push carts, lift boxes, and stand for extended periods Senior Experience placements at Central Library Youth Services are limited.
