Volunteer: Books by Mail (BBM) Delivery Volunteer

Responsibilities:

Assist Books by Mail staff by supporting delivery and return of library items to Arlington patrons who are unable to leave their homes. Take materials from Central Library and deliver them to Books by Mail patrons. Retrieve checked-out items from patrons and return them to the library.

Types of volunteers:

Adult aged 21+Older Adults (55+)

Time commitment:

Variable; a minimum of one 3-4 hour shift per week.Hours of service will be flexible based on volunteer’s availability, but will need to be consistent and communicated to staff.

Qualifications:

Reliable, dependable and good with communication Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to use their own insured vehicle Friendly disposition combined with the ability to hold healthy and safe boundaries with people of varied ages, genders and backgrounds Knowledge of Arlington geography Commitment to safe data privacy practices
