Volunteer: Book Club Leader (Westover)Location: Westover Library 1644 N. McKinley Rd. Responsibilities: Lead a monthly book club for adults Engage the group in discussion by active listening and ensure all attendees have an opportunity to contribute, if they wish Select book club titles (fiction or non-fiction) with input from library staff and book club members Work with library staff to procure materialsTypes of volunteers: Adult aged 21+ Older Adults (55+)Time commitment · 4th Thursday of each month from 6:15 – 7:45 pm (Note: November & December book club meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month) · One evening per month, plus time for reading material for book club selection · Year-round · Minimum 6-month commitment Qualifications: Avid reader Friendly and welcoming demeanor Comfortable leading small group discussions Ability to create welcoming and inclusive atmosphere Comfortable working with people from other cultures, age groups and backgrounds.
