Volunteer: Thursday Circulation Support Volunteer (Paging) - Westover

Location: 

Westover Library 1644 N. McKinley St.Arlington, VA 22205  

Time commitment: 

One Morning a week, 2-3 hours.   Current opportunity is:  PagingCurrent opening is:  ThursdaysNumber of volunteers needed: 1Minimum 6-month commitment (long term commitment preferred) 

Responsibilities (Paging):  

Find items on library shelves from paging list   Check in items on computer   Prepare items to be sent to another branch   Shelve holds   Provide customer service to patrons while in the stacks.    

Qualifications: 

Dependable and flexible  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail  Enjoyment of detail-oriented projects and quiet work  Able to bend, stretch and stand for a long period  Knowledge of the Library’s shelving and classification system (training provided)   Ability to bend, stretch, and stand for long periods of time  Push and pull a full cart of library materials (up to 100 lb)  Friendly with strong customer service skills

Young Adults (18-25)  Adults (26-54)  Adult (55+)
