Responsibilities: 

Introduce English grammar, vocabulary, and idioms and answer questions from studentsPrepare materials and discussion topics for class in advanceLead a one-hour conversation practice group, encouraging student participationStudents will be at different levels of proficiency 

Types of volunteers: 

Adults (age 21+)

Older Adults (age 55+) 


Time Commitment: 

Minimum 1-year commitmentClass Wednesdays 11 am - noon Preferred commitment: must be available to teach every other week 

Qualifications: 

Minimum of a college degree No prior teaching experience required Enthusiasm and patience a must. A desire to help students improve their English speaking and writing skills Preferred: Experience working with people from other cultures Welcome: Experience teaching ESL
